– Sand Artist
Sand Art is a process by which the artist creates a series of images using sand.
Combined, they build a story and allow the public to watch in real time the creative act of the artist.
Ana Munteanu succeeds in impressing with this technique, since attending the “Romanian’s got Talent” contest, where she reached the finals.
Although painting is her main occupation, she became passionate about Sand Art, through which she manages to expose her images and thoughts, while maintaining all the traditional principles of drawing and composition.The sand art technique doesn’t include colors, it is built on contrasts, lines, spots which create an emotional story.
Using a special sand, inspired by everything surrounding her, people, dreams and aspirations, Ana Munteanu creates projects that emphasize human spiritual values on
human behavior and its consequences.
Ana Munteanu is recognized nationally and internationally for her Sand Art shows in Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria and France.
Her paintings are also featured in numerous private collections in the US, Italy, France, Romania, the Czech Republic and Moldova.
Ana Munteanu graduated from the Academic Lyceum of Fine Arts “Igor Vieru”, Republic of Moldova in 2004, and in 2008 she graduated from the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts, Republic of Moldova. In 2010 she received the title of “Master of Arts”.
Between May and June 2016, Ana was invited by the Violinist Alexandru Tomescu to perform in the International “Stradivarius eXperience 2.0” Tour, held in 14 Roman-Catholic Cathedrals and other unconventional spaces in Romania, but also in Paris.
He was a senior lecturer at the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts of the Republic of Moldova,and is now established in Bucharest, where she is painting and supporting Sand Art performances.
The artist has participated in national and international exhibitions organized by the Ministry of Culture, UNESCO, Union of Artists of the Republic of Moldova, Academy of Music, Theater and Arts Plastics from Moldova. Her paintings are also present in many private collections from USA, Italy, France, Romania, the Czech Republic and Moldova.
